The Implications for Everyday Life of Incident Self-Reported Visual Decline among People over Age 65 Living in the Community.
Branch, Laurence G.; And Others
Gerontologist, v29 n3 p359-65 Jun 1989
Examined consequences of vision loss among older adults. Respondents reporting visual decline were older than those reporting good vision, but not different in any other demographic characteristic, use of formal support and health services, or activities of daily living (ADL) functioning. Controlling for age and sex, vision loss was associated with unmet instrumental ADL needs, physical and emotional disabilities. (Author/NB)
