Two promising new technological tools for science education are described: microcomputer-based laboratories and science telecommunications networks. Explained are the benefits of these tools for students with learning disabilities (including emphasis on nonverbal images and improvements in student focus and communication skills) and guidelines encouraging the incorporation of technology into the classroom.
