Perceptions Held by Academically Talented High School Students of Teaching as a Career.
Pate, Robert H., Jr.; And Others
School Counselor, v36 n5 p352-58 May 1989
Examined the career values of 203 college-bound students to ascertain how selected careers, including teaching, were perceived to satisfy needs derived from these values. Also investigated differences among the perceptions of academically talented individuals, average students, and a leadership group. Very few of these students identified teaching as their profession of choice. (TE)
