Comparison of Period-by-Period Fundamental Frequency of Stutterers and Nonstutterers over Repeated Utterances.
Sacco, Pat Richard; Metz, Dale Evan
Journal of Speech and Hearing Research, v32 n2 p439-44 Jun 1989
The study found that stutterers (N=10) were significantly more variable than nonstutterers in their ability to achieve stable fundamental frequency diminution patterns in vowels immediately following stop consonants. Stutterers were not significantly different from the nonstutterers in their ability to achieve a stable fundamental frequency over repeated utterances. (Author/DB)
