Relationship between Critical Flicker Fusion (CFF) Thresholds and Personality under Three Auditory Stimulus Conditions.
Ali, M. R.; Amir, T.
Social Behavior and Personality, v16 n2 p197-206 1988
Investigated relationship between critical flicker fusion (CFF) thresholds and five personality characteristics (alienation; social nonconformity; discomfort, expression, and defensiveness) under three auditory stimulus conditions (quiet, noise, meaningful verbal stimuli). Results from 60 college students revealed that auditory stimulation and four personality variables had no significant effects on CFF thresholds. Subjects scoring high in social nonconformity had higher CFF thresholds. (Author/NB)
