A brief description of the notion of patriarchy and the feminization of teaching precedes a discussion of a core of central issues that profeminist male elementary school teachers are likely to confront, involving male privilege and domination, the teacher-child relationship, advocate versus technician roles, collegialism, and the feminist/profeminist relationship.
