The Nature of Feedback Student Teachers Receive in Post-observation Conferences with the University Supervisor: A Comparison with O'Neal's Study of Cooperating Teacher Feedback.
Christensen, Patricia S.
Teaching and Teacher Education, v4 n3 p275-86 Sum 1988
Results of this study indicated that university supervisors encouraged their students to participate in post-observation conferences more than cooperating teachers did. Their feedback was evaluative, prompting students to think critically about their teaching. Cooperating teacher feedback focused on events and telling the student teacher how to teach. (JD)
