The impact of work-related variables on research productivity and job satisfaction for university faculty was investigated. Questionnaires assessing work performance, demographic characteristics, and job satisfaction were completed by 132 faculty members. Type of appointment and involvement with professional organizations were found to predict productivity and job satisfaction. (Author/CH)
