Should Mathematicians Teach Statistics?
Moore, David S.
College Mathematics Journal, v19 n1 p3-7 Jan 1988
The author argues that statistics is no more a branch of mathematics than it is of economics. It is suggested that because statistics is a distinct discipline, it is unprofessional for mathematicians who lack training and experience in working with data to teach statistics. (PK)
