Examines the origins and basic tenets of three recent educational movements in Canada (i.e., multicultural education, peace education, and cooperative learning) to identify their philosophical underpinnings. Argues that their fundamental premises are remarkably like those of the Progressive Education movement. Considers approaches for those who postulate new ideas and methods. (DMM)
