Assessed relationship between adolescents' problem drinking and their perceptions of stressful relationships with people or situations. Results from survey of 1,684 secondary school students suggest that perceived stress may have role in etiology of adolescent problem drinking and should signal program planners in alcohol education to include stress management and coping skills training in programs.
