Structural Aspects of Phonological Development: Case Study of a Disordered Child.
Pollock, Karen E.; Schwartz, Richard G.
Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools, v19 n1 p5-16 Jan 1988
The relationship between syllabic structure and segmental development was examined longitudinally (from ages 3:5 to 7:3) in a child who had lived in a Korean orphanage his first two years. Analyses revealed gradual increases in complexity and diversity of syllable structures and positional preferences for sounds within these forms. (Author/DB)
