The Impact of a Women's Studies Program: Challenging and Nourishing the True Believers.
Lenihan, Genie O.; Rawlins, Melanie E.
Journal of the National Association of Women Deans, Administrators, and Counselors, v50 n3 p3-10 Spr 1987
Compared university students enrolled or not enrolled in women's studies courses. Used three pre- and post-course measures--the Bem Sex Role Inventory, the Rokeach Dogmatism Scale, and the Sex Role Stereotype Questionnaire--to determine course-inspired changes in attitude or identity. Women's studies enrollees proved less needful of resocialization than of nourishment and scholarly validation of their ideals. (Author/KS)
