Liberal Arts Graduates and the Job Search: The Employer's Perspective.
Bjorkquist, Patricia M.
Journal of Employment Counseling, v24 n3 p137-43 Sep 1987
Surveyed recruiters whose companies hire liberal arts graduates to assess the educational qualities they found most attractive, and their recommendations for the job search. Communication skills placed a strong first, followed by human relations and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and research and investigative skills. Generally, recruiters preferred that students make contact with their companies directly, contacting the recruiter first. (Author/KS)
