Presents results of study of marriage-role expectations of female university students enrolled in introductory marriage and family course in 1961, 1972, 1978, and 1984. Data show greatest gain in egalatarian trends to be 1961-1972, with continuation of the trends at somewhat slower rate of change between 1972 and 1978, and discontinuation of the trend between 1978 and 1984.
