Articulatory Disorders in Speech among Finnish-Speaking Students According to Age, Sex, and Speech Therapy.
Laine, Tellervo; And Others
Journal of Communication Disorders, v20 n4 p327-38 Aug 1987
A group of 451 Finnish-speaking undergraduates was examined to study occurrence of articulatory disorders. Distortions of /s/, /r/, /l/, /n/, and /d/ were found. Age and sex were not related to prevalence of disorders. Previous speech therapy tended to correlate with higher frequencies of disorders of /s/ and /r/ sounds. (Author/KM)
