Miller, Frank; Chabrier, Linda Ann
Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, v17 n1 p13-17 Spr 1987
Analyzed suicide attempts by 45 psychiatric patients hospitalized consecutively at the Payne Whitney Clinic with the discharge diagnosis of Unipolar Major Depression, Recurrent, with Psychotic Features. Patients with delusions of bodily disease, damage, and malfunction were significantly less likely to make medically serious suicide attempts than patients with delusions of sinfulness, guilt, deserved punishment, or persecution.
