Task Self-Efficacy and Task Interest as a Function of Performance on a Gender-Neutral Task.
Hackett, Gail; Campbell, Nancy K.
Journal of Vocational Behavior, v30 n2 p203-15 Apr 1987
Investigated relationships between performance on a gender-neutral task and gender, self-efficacy, performance attributions, and task interest in 92 college students. Subjects decreased their ratings of self-efficacy and task interest as a result of failure. The same ratings increased as a result of success. Findings support self-efficacy theory. (Author/ABB)
