The principles of transmitting appropriate impressions in peer interactions by using facial expressions are different among kindergarten children than among adults. Although the children demonstrate knowledge and understanding of some facial expressions found in the adult repertoire, they tend to be more aggressive and less tactful in their use of "face-work."
