Racial Differences in Neighborhood Dissatisfaction.
Darden, Joe T.
Western Journal of Black Studies, v11 n1 p11-16 Spr 1987
Examines racial differences in neighborhood dissatisfaction in metropolitan areas, central cities, and suburbs. Home ownership in the suburbs reduces the level of neighborhood dissatisfaction for Blacks and Whites. Blacks have higher levels of neighborhood dissatisfaction, probably because they reside in areas in worse condition and receiving poorer services than those where Whites live. (PS)
