The Seriousness of Communication Barriers in the Interviewer-Interviewee Relationship.

The study examined communication barriers that arise during the interview process as perceived by 164 on-campus interviewers. Six communication barrier factors were found to be important: (1) attitudinal and personality problems, (2) perceptual and status differences, (3) environmental conditions, (4) feedback problems, (5) competitiveness, and (6) company knowledge problems.
