Efficacy of Edwards' Cognitive Shift Approach to Art Education.

Noting the lack of experimental evidence substantiating the efficacy of educational strategies designed to exploit the right hemisphere of the brain, a study was designed to assess the cognitive shift model of the Edwards' training procedure. Results showed no difference between the Edwards' procedure and a placebo procedure. Implications for the neuropsychological training rationale and future research are suggested. (JDH)
