A survey of 315 deans and directors of adult and continuing education measured this population's perceptions of factors that motivate faculty members to engage in continuing education instruction. Factors included (1) earning additional income, (2) enjoyment of teaching, (3) increasing satisfaction, and (4) keeping current in the field. (CH)
