A Comparison of Recruiting Strategies for Increasing Older Adults' Initial Entry and Compliance in a Memory Training Program.
Schleser, Robert; And Others
International Journal of Aging and Human Development, v24 n1 p55-66 1986-87
Older adults in highrise buildings were recruited for memory training using positive, neutral, or negative content approaches which were presented orally, on posters, or in flyers. More volunteers responded to oral presentations with neutral or positive content; poster respondents were more likely to complete training. Negative content tended to attract persons concerned with age-related memory decline. (Author/NB)
