Investigated circumstances necessitating internal counselor reassignments. Classified procedures used to conduct reassignments. Most frequently reported reasons for reassignments at 122 university counseling centers were completion of practica, provision of alternate services, counselor-client incompatability, and insufficient therapeutic progress. Reassignment practices were grouped by client participation in selecting new counselors and amount and types of client preparation. (Author/KS)
