Prediction of Vocational Success among Emotionally Impaired and Learning-Disabled Persons.
Mandes, Evans; Gessner, Theodore
Journal of Employment Counseling, v23 n4 p163-66 Dec 1986
Evaluated psychometric and demographic data in 84 successful and unsuccessful social service clients. Successful predictors of vocational success among psychiatric populations were: having been married, having held full-time work, and not having been diagnosed as learning disabled. Suggests a combination of information from intelligence tests, psychiatric diagnoses, and demograpic information can help to predict successful vocational placement. (Author/NB)
