Behavior Engagement as a Measure of the Efficacy of Early Intervention.
McWilliam, R. A.; And Others
Analysis and Intervention in Developmental Disabilities, v5 n1-2 p59-71 1985
The study investigated the usefulness of behavior engagement (time spent in appropriate environmental interaction) as an outcome measure for discerning the efficacy of intervention efforts with preschool retarded, handicapped, at-risk, and nonhandicapped children participating in two different types of programs (traditional and nontraditional). Engagement levels were consistently more stable in the nontraditional program. (Author/CL)
