The Relationship between Teacher Thought and Action and Student Affective Outcomes.

Results did not support the hypothesis that elementary school teachers who place high priority on affective outcomes were most effective in promoting positive affect in their classrooms. Ten teachers were interviewed and rated on their effectiveness in the classroom. Their students completed a questionnaire on classroom environment and a sociometric measure which indicated gender/race bias. (CB)
