The effects of three curricular patterns--Norway's integrated pattern, England's alternative pattern, and the United States' equivalent curriculum--on students' occupational interests were examined. Degree of specialization embodied in a curriculum pattern does result in biasing of academic interest. Also, pressure to choose between curricular options leads to subject affiliations. (RM)
