Partner Age as a Variable in the Conversational Performance of Specifically Language-Impaired and Normal-Language Children.
Fey, Marc E.; Leonard, Laurence B.
Journal of Speech and Hearing Research, v27 n3 p413-23 Sep 1984
The language used by a group of four-and-a-half- to six-year-old specifically language-impaired (SLI) children, same-aged normal-language (NL) children, and younger NL children was observed with an adult female, with a peer, and with a toddler. Results revealed that SLI Ss were as assertive in conversations as Ss in the same-aged NL group. (Author/CL)
