A Core of Geography: What Geographers Do Best.
Ford, Larry R.
Journal of Geography, v83 n3 p102-06 May-Jun 1984
The core of geography consists of endeavors that touch base with five core elements: landscape, maps, hypotheses, processes, and models/generalizations. All geographers have common or shared interests whether they be geomorphologists or behavioralists; many of the divisions that characterize the discipline are dysfunctional and unnecessary. Interdisciplinary communications is needed. (RM)
