Effects of Race and Socioeconomic Status on Career Choice Variables among College Men.

Examined racial and socioeconomic influences on career choice in 48 Black and 48 White college men. Results indicated that low SES males preferred realistic occupations, while high SES males chose investigative occupations. Black males chose artistic occupations significantly more often than did White males. (JAC)
