A Method for Determining the Organizational Perception of the Role of the Resident Assistant.

Investigated the resident assistant's role as perceived by 73 resident assistants, 12 administrators, and 350 students. Results showed all groups chose "promoting an environment conducive to study" as the most important role. Resident assistants saw themselves as counselors and leaders while students saw them as friends and information sources. (JAC)
