Cognitive Strategies and the Client Conceptualization Process.
Hirsch, Philip A.; Stone, Gerald L.
Journal of Counseling Psychology, v30 n4 p566-72 Oct 1983
Examined the manner in which doctoral-level counseling psychology students (N=27) formulated conceptualizations of a client. Results showed strategies were associated with amount of previous counseling experience and extent of formal training. Results also found counselors' confidence to be related to gender and amount of exposure to the client. (LLL)
