Gifted and talented female adolescents (N=284) completed the Personal Attributes Questionnaire Short Form and the Texas Social Behavior Inventory. As predicted, the subjects' social self-confidence and self-esteem varied as a function of their self-images of instrumentability (masculinity) and expressiveness (femininity). (CL)
