Literature concerning achievement feedback is outlined with special attention to its effects on cognitive and affective characteristics of pupils. A quasi-experiment was carried out to assess the possible influence of written feedback occurring weekly and monthly, as well as teacher evaluation of pupils in comparison to self-evaluation. (PN)
