S.N.C.C. and the Civil Rights Movement in Mississippi, 1963-64: A Time of Change.
Nordhaus, R. Edward
History Teacher, v17 n1 p95-102 Nov 1983
The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (S.N.C.C.) was mainly responsible for the drive in 1963 to register Black voters in Mississippi and form a political party that included Negroes. How the S.N.C.C. organized the movement and came into its own as a political organization is discussed. (RM)
