Test of the Assumptions Underlying Comparative Hearing Aid Evaluations.
Walden, Brian E.; And Others
Journal of Speech and Hearing Disorders, v48 n3 p264-73 Aug 1983
Fifty-five adults with sensorineural hearing impairments participated in the study which indicated nonsignificant interaid performance differences among electroacoustically homogeneous aids. Among other conclusions were that the comparative hearing aid evaluation will not be a good predictor of success in daily communication unless relatively large performance differences exist among instruments.
