A survey of 33 teachers of emotionally disturbed children revealed that there was a high attrition rate; difficulty with administration was the major reason for leaving and for job dissatisfaction; teachers' major satisfaction involved relationships with students; and teachers remaining on the job had more degrees and greater administrative support.
