Adjustment and Sex-Role Orientation in Adolescence.
Lamke, Leanne K.
Journal of Youth and Adolescence, v11 n3 p247-59 Jun 1982
The relationship between sex-role orientation and self-esteem in adolescence was reexamined. The results revealed that androgynous individuals had higher levels of self-esteem than masculine, feminine, and undifferentiated adolescents. When the independent contributions of masculinity and femininity were assessed, both significantly predicted self-esteem. (Author/PN)
