The influence of students' efforts, school, teachers' expectations, sex, handicapped status, grade, teachers, and race on self-concept of handicapped and nonhandicapped children in mainstreamed physical education classes was investigated. A stepwise multiple regression indicated student expression of effort and school and teachers' expectation of reasoning ability were related to self-concept. (Author/RD)
