Thinking More after Thinking Less: The Liberal Arts and Lifelong Learning.
House, David B.
Continuum, v47 n1 p8-14 Oct 1982
There are some indications in favor of a significant increase in liberal arts courses through continuing education: (1) an older student population, (2) proliferation of corporate skill-based training programs, and (3) the search for values and changing standards of success. Graduate liberal studies degrees are being developed to serve the older student's need for intellectual fulfillment and noncareer-based education. (SK)
