An Examination into the Employment, Opinions and Pharmacy Employment Plans of Nonpracticing Pharmacy School Graduates.
Shepherd, Marvin D.; And Others
American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, v46 n3 p218-23 Fall 1982
A 1980 national study of pharmacy graduates found 114 of 767 respondents not practicing pharmacy. The primary reasons were better financial opportunity or job satisfaction elsewhere. Over 53 percent found their pharmacy degrees instrumental in obtaining their present jobs, 72.5 percent believed their pharmacy backgrounds have been occupationally beneficial, and 53 percent planned to return to pharmacy.
