The Relationship between Supervisory Behaviors and Perceived Supervisor Expertness, Attractiveness, or Trustworthiness.
Heppner, P. Paul; Handley, Patrick
Counselor Education and Supervision, v22 n1 p37-46 Sep 1982
Examined relationships between various supervisor behaviors and trainee perceptions of supervisor expertness, attractiveness, and trustworthiness. Results showed when trainees (and to a lesser extent supervisors) perceived supervisors as engaged in evaluative supervisory behaviors, they also tended to perceive the supervisor as more expert, attractive, and trustworthy.
