The 'Hidden Pedagogy' and Its Implications for Teacher Training.

Argues that early classroom experience can be regarded as a "hidden pedagogy" which exerts a stronger influence on new teachers' perceptions of their jobs than the ideas taught in teacher education programs. Teachers believe that to be successful they must establish classroom control and maintain the privacy of the situation. (AM)
