The Effects of Conducting Experience and Programmed Materials on Error-Detection Scores of College Conducting Students.
DeCarbo, Nicholas J.
Journal of Research in Music Education, v30 n3 p187-200 Fall 1982
Describes a study which evaluated the effectiveness of two teaching approaches -- conducting experience itself and programed materials -- in developing college students' error-detection skills. The conducting experience group scored significantly higher on a conducting test than the programed materials. There was no significant difference between the groups on a written test. (Author/RM)
