Comparing Two Methods to Teach Physical Assessment Skills to Community Nurses.
Hagopian, Gloria; And Others
Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, v13 n5 p9-13 Sep-Oct 1982
Groups of community health nurses were taught physical examination skills by two methods: self-study and lecture/laboratory practice. Because the latter produced significantly better posttest scores, it was concluded that self-study is appropriate for teaching the content, while laboratory practice is best for teaching the skills.
