Ethnic Enclaves: A Comparison of the Cuban and Black Economies in Miami.
Wilson, Kenneth L.; Martin, W. Allen
American Journal of Sociology, v88 n1 p135-60 Jul 1982
Hypotheses that link the relative advantage in ethnic enclaves to their economic structures are tested in a comparative analysis of Cuban and Black businesses in Miami, Florida. Businesses in the advantaged Cuban community were more interdependent and less dependent on majority industry than businesses in the less-advantaged Black enclaves. (Author/AM)
