The Effects of Pre-school Building Design.
Neill, S. R. St. J.; Denham, E. J. M.
Educational Research, v24 n2 p107-11 Feb 1982

The effect of building type seems to be to inhibit or facilitate the expression of existing child behavior or staff policy, with room openness and noise levels being the most potent factors.
