The self-esteem and delinquency of high school males was investigated. Cross-lagged correlation methods applied over a long time period were used, as was a causal modeling approach using the LISREL computer program. The analyses suggest that self-esteem plays little part in influencing teenage behaviors and orientations that follow in time. (Author/GK)
